2 motorcycles collide

PRES. GARCIA.- Two motorcycles were involved in a road accident particularly in front of Mlhuiller pawnshop in this town last Saturday morning. Initial investigation from the witnesses and revealed that both vehicles are traversing on the opposite direction wherein the 1st motorcycle going to Pitogo port area described as motorcycle Honda XRM 110 color red bearing the plate no. YU 9503 driven by one Samuel Talingting, 21 years old and a resident of purok 3 brgy. Pitogo of this town with no driver’s license. The second motorcycle going to Brgy. San Jose described as Honda Wave 110 color red and black bearing the plate no.5590 GN with no registration driven by one Marlon Acala, 30 years old , single, native of Abuyog, Leyte and presently resided at Brgy. Saguise this town with no driver’s license. As alleged by witnesses, at around 7am of the same date that while the XRM motorcycle was traversing going to Pitogo port area together with a back rider however, upon arrival in front of the Mlhuillier the same was collided with the 2nd motorcycle which resulted to the damaged of his motorcycle. Delivery of VCM still awaited

TAGBILARAN CITY.- For the 4,066 vote counting machines in Central Visayas, 3,543 are already in Cebu while the remaining 523 is still to arrive this week. The VCMs which are in the warehouse of 2GO were examined yesterday by COMELEC and the PRO7. These machines are for Bohol, Cebu and Siquijor. These will all be distributed in May and if possible, early distribution for mountain barangays according to COMELEC Regional Director Jose Nick Mendros. Then, they will conduct the final testing to make sure that it would be delivered properly to polling precincts. Mendros clarified that the VCMs cannot be interchanged since it has already been designated to respective polling precincts. He also said that the ballot boxes are already completed and other peripherals like batteries. Local absentee voting already starts

TAGBILARAN CITY.- The local absentee voting will start today and will end on Friday. Atty. Jose Nick Mendros, Director of COMELEC-7 said that the absentee voting are for the police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, media practitioners that have applied for absentee voting in COMELEC Manila and other local COMELEC offices. He added that the manual system will be used for the voting and will start from 8am and will end on 5pm. Mendros told that ballot copying is prohibited wherein after the voting, it will be collected, placed in an envelope and will be sealed and be brought to the Local Absentee Voting Office in Manila. Hot pursuit vs. shooting suspect

ALBURQUERQUE.- Elements of the local police station are still on a hot pursuit operation against one Agustin Carino y Ebrabo , 41 years old, married and a resident of this town. Suspect evades arrest by cops

VALENCIA- A 46-year old resident of Barangay Anas this town was arrested by elements of the local police station for possession of illegal drugs. Local policemen led by P/Sr. Insp. Marcos Lopez conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in which the subject, Raul Balite y Nangkil, married, was caught illegally possessing illegal drugs in violation of Sectioon 11 and12 Art. II of RA 9165. However, Balite was able to evade arrest. The operation was by virtue of search warrant by Judge Dionisio Calibo Jr. of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 50 Loay town. Prior to the arrival of the operating team, Balite has already fled away. The raiding team then pursued the search and invited two barangay officials, Teogenes Macaranas and Gloria Nangkil of Barangay Anas to witness the search of the Balite’s house. Man went wild at barangay center

DIMIAO.- One Robert Anthony Malacay y Magtajas alias “RG” of legal age, a resident of this municipality went wild at their barangay center last Thursday evening. Elements of Dimiao police station led by P/Insp. Lito B. Rosales immediately responded and proceeded at the said barangay. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that on the abovementioned place, time, and date, some of the barangay officials of the said barangay were preparing of their basketball summer league while they were waiting the end of the novena held at the chapel, in front of the basketball court for the preparation of their incoming fiesta celebration. Then, the suspect suddenly appeared at the basketball court and believed to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor and got wild and suspect not contented of his wrong doings, he intentionally destroyed the scoreboard owned by the barangay. Motorcycle accident leaves victim with broken leg

PILAR- The motorcycle driver who was involved in an accident in this town sustained broken leg after being side-swept by a truck. The accident took place last Saturday afternoon in national highway, Sitio Malinao, Poblacion, Pilar in front of National Irrigation Administration (NIA ). Investigations conducted by Pilar PNP, revealed that the victim was identified as Antontio Lagapa Jr. alias Loloy, 48 years old, married, Barangay Kagawad of Poblacion oft his town. The truck was identified to be owned by Rodrigo Labunog, of Mabuhay Village, Brgy. Dao, of this city while the driver was Dexter Paroginog, 32 years old, from Poblacion, Danao, Bohol.
