Terrorism, the unseen and unpredictable enemy of modern
society, is getting stronger anywhere around the world and
it looks nobody is safe now specially those loitering in
busy streets, malls, parks or anywhere there are large
crowds. I suggest to keep away from these places for longer
time specially Christmas shopping is just around us. Do
not stay long hours where there is danger. Be alert and
informed of the things taking place in the country for tips.
So many people nowadays walk around carrying explosive
devices, grenades, guns etc. and they truly pose danger
everywhere.. Be safe.

Why foolish things around our country could hardly be
exposed? When someone comes forward to point to the public
what happened, he is humiliated, ridiculed, threatened of
suits, etc. and naturally he cools off and his revelations
die with it. Take the case of Matobato of Davao City who
was talking about the thousands of killings in the city
supposedly ordered by Duterte when he was mayor, he is now
in hot water and endangered because of dozens of threats
by persons of interests presumably belonging to the mayor’s
camp. This is stupid, hell of stupidity and chances are
he will now close his mouth. If the opposing camps is
interested to the issues, cross examine him and destroy his
credibility rather than threatened him of bodily harm. This
only shows how afraid they are to be exposed. Or they are
hiding something that could blow up once discovered.

I don’t mind so much about the alleged offenses of Sen.
Leila De Lima when she was secretary of justice. Her
move to conduct a probe on the extrajudicial killing in the
senate is definitely commendable and this must be looked
into. But as I said, if you do good things in the country
you are a villain. Now De lima is facing several cases,
which to me, are worthless only to protect Pres. Duterte.
The government will have difficult time sending De Lima to
jail because as a lawyer she knows her way around.

What happened to the gun battle in Jolo involving the Abu
Sayyaf? The Norwegian was released after reportedly paying
ransom money of thirty thousand. So for the bandits,
business is as usual. Because of the situation I urge
white people not to venture in Mindanao because the bandits
think they are wealthy and can afford to pay the amount they
demand. Talking about the Abu Sayyaf, the Indonesian
government urged the Philippine government to finish the
bandits. This group of bandits deserve to live six feet
below the ground.

The media have always been part of the government system in
a democratic society. At least, if the leaders failed in
their endeavor, there is an institution to blame. Sometimes,
the leaders can get away from the ire of the public and
blame the media too for misquoting, misunderstanding or
whatever. Journalists being human beings too, sometimes
accept such situation or merely succumbed to a bad set
up.. Nobody is perfect, they’d say – – mia culpa.

The rumors circulating around that the Liberal Party is
planning to assassinate Digong Duterte and have Madam Leni
Robredo succeed, is plain rumor and no truth to it Leni is
not capable of participating on such alleged plan much
less agree to it. She is a straightforward lady and would
remain that way throughout her life.

In handling Sen. De Lima’s case, I urge the government
prosecutors not to behave like dogs. We must look at the
two sides of a coin snd give her the benefit of the doubt or
whatever is required by law. On her sexual life that is none
of our business. Nobody ever won a controversy when the
issue of love is at stake.

There was some suggestions that celebrities should be spared
from being exposed on their drug addictions. And why not?
They should be named if they really are involved in such
nefarious activities. Some movie artists are not better than
saints that they should be exempted from the lists of

I have doubts, though, that the campaign of Digong Duterte
against drug use would succeed. Aaddiction to anything is
very difficult to remove from a person. I used to be a
heavy smoker and I was able to cut it off because I was
determined to depart from it when my children were entering
high chool. I cannot afford to buy cigarettes anymore and I
have to give my kids the priorities for their future.
