I was laughing when Sen Johnny Ponce Enrile heard of the Sen. Trillianes revelations of Digong Duterte’s millions of pesos in several BPI banks. Enrile said “he is a fraud” referring to Trillianes. I look at Enrile who is 92 years old deserving of retirement or he should be sent back to jail with his friends Sen. Bong Revilla and Sen. Jinggoy Estrada. He is talking non-sense already and to know his point or objective is very confusing. Because of his age and illness, he was under hospital arrest. His credibility is gone long time go. This is one problem in our country. There is no age limit to politicians, They can be there for as long as they are alive. . They are not like teachers who have to leave upon reaching the age of 65.

A certain Quiboloy allegedly a church leader from Davao City declared that if Duterte is cheated in this election, he will lead a revolution. This is guy is clever. He did not stress what kind of revolution he is going to organize. If it is a green revolution, well and good for us to enjoy lots of vegetables and food but if he meant armed revolution, he should be in jail. I look at him againa as talking non-sense or he just don’t know what he is talking about. If indeed he is a religious leader, then he should urge people to pray for a clean and honest election and not issue threats that will make people scamper to nowhere.

In Cagayan de Oro City, one alleged leader of Duterte is now in the funeral parlor after he was fatally shot by an unknown gunman. Initial reports disclosed the shooting is politically-motivated since the victim is engaged in politics. There have been killings also in other areas in Luzon and the Visayas. These show that politics is in full blast and the usual heated debates among supporters or followers in parks, public markets and other places are intensifying. It is easy to speculate that within the next few days before elections, more killings will take place from Aparri to Jolo.

My spies scattered around the archipelago reported that vote-buying will determine who is who in this election. They estimated that with the cost of living having sky-rocketed these past few months, per ballot should cost no less than a thousand pesos. And this money , they said, will come from the candidates in the national level as well as the local contenders. I was touched because with that development, it is not easy to run for public office nowadays. And certainly, the winners will recover their political expenses by way of corruptions.

According to published reports, Duterte is the highest spender in terms of advertisement in the media. See a billionaire disguised as a pauper who according to some men in the media is a liar? And presidential candidate Mar Roxas said “pag sinungaling ay kapatid nang magnanakaw”. I think I agree on this line of reasoning by simple syllogism.

Some people are asking if the United States of America will fight China relative to the disputes in the Spratleys. The mutual defense pact we have with the USA is such that the latter will fight if our country is attacked. However he fact that America has sent battleships in the Scarborough only show that our closest ally, the Americans whose military bases in our country we removed, will fight. And even Japan has vowed to defend us against aggression by China or any country for that matter.

And do you know that there are more than eleven million Filipinos who are jobless in the country? This is according to a statistics report which came out in the news today. And millions are hungry everyday. The sad thing is presidential candidates, except Mar Roxas who are out campaigning never said anything about how they could solve the problem of poverty in the country.

The ugly part of our political system is anybody walking in the street can become public official even if he has barely gone to elementary school. The government pays the salaries and allowances of these jokers who know nothing but shaking hands and blow air from their lungs. The result is we have a government that knows nothing where to go. And some idiots think that the shortest way to become rich is by running for a government position during election season. This is extremely foolish.

Of the presidential candidates, I like Roxas more. He has a projection, a platform, honesty, integrity and desires. Second is Miriam Defensor Santiago. Third is Grace Poe, though innocent and inexperienced. Binay is last because of his records of plunders cases. For vice president, I like Leni Robredo who is capable able, honest and sincere. For the senate I like Pacquiao as a boxer but should not be in the senate where the legislative body needs brains and education. People who do not have a college degree should not be admitted as legislators. It is a shame and disaster.

I am not after of a Mindanaoan to become president. I just want a guy who is of high educational standing, honor, honesty, dignity and sincerity. One who will not rob us of our money. Otherwise, we may give him to the Abu Sayaff in Jolo who could remove his head and throw his body to the lake full of piranhas for good.

I am almost 80 retired but no tired. I am still working. I am a sub-agent of an insurance company and those who need protection for their families on life insurance may come to me, call me or whatever. What is important is protection of our heirs when we go off beyond the clouds of death. Call me Tel. No. 408-661-4338 or email me [email protected] I used to sell cemetery plots but convincing clients to die now and pay later or die one take two – – is the thing I don’t like. I was also car salesman but customers trust more the dealers and not so much of the sales representatives. Getting old is beautiful, a matter denied to others and for full enjoyment, do something productive and do not wait for the time when sunshine flies away and darkness takes over.
