Gov. Edgar Chatto led the groundbreaking rites for the New Capitol Building at New Capitol site, this city. The National Museum is currently restoring the old Provincial Capitol to become a branch of the National Museum with National Government allocating funds for the construction of a new building after the damage brought about by the earthquake. The project has been bidded out and the site undergoing clearing in preparation for project implementation. With Chatto during the rites are Senate President Franklin Drilon, Energy Sec and senatorial candidate Jericho Petilla, Cong. Rene Relampagos and provincial government officials.
