The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) here held a dialogue with the KASAMAKA or the Kahiusahan sa Mga Kabus nga Mag-uuma sa Kabanikanhan  para sa Kabag-ohan, a farmers’ federation in Bohol last July 28 at the SB Session Hall in Ubay, Bohol. PARPO Grace B. Fua (leftmost standing), Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II  of DARPO Bohol on her message emphasized that DAR is for the farmers and that the best way to solve any agrarian-related issues is either to write a letter to DAR or to peacefully come together, deal each problem and find its solutions under the aid of law. Ms. Erlinda Gunayan a.k.a Lady Gunayan, KASAMAKA Leader presented seven major land problems within the town of Ubay and one in San Miguel town. Mr. Rudy Mendez, Executive Officer on Internal Affairs who represented Ubay Mayor Galicano Atup hoped that the one day dialogue may resolve issues easily and peacefully.  Indeed, Ricardo Boncales (rightmost standing), the Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) in Ubay facilitated the peaceful deliberation of the issues together with his DARMO Staff Jesus Auxilio and Teresita Cuyacot and with the support of MARPOs Anacleta Ancog and LicenioTinampay.
