The crash of the Egypt Air from Paris to Cairo with 66 passengers including women and small children should be investigated well to pinpoint if indeed terrorism is involved in the disaster. If it is the work of the terrorists, the whole world must unite to defeat them as they have been giving destruction to life and property. These terrorists are nothing but evils of society. Airline companies must improve their system in accepting passengers and cargoes to avoid the same incident in the future.

I was laughing hard when at the height of discussions relative to the disputed seas, China was quoted as having said that “China owns the Philippines.” I remember some months ago about my prediction that after occupying the Scarborough reefs and constructing thereat an airstrip and some building structures, China’s next move was to say that the Philippines is within their territory and, therefore, Filipinos who have been there since the time of Lapulapu and Magellan, should be deported to nowhere. I based my theory on China’s ugly behavior of bullying as what it did to Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia and even Malaysia. I said China is a dreamer and is expanding its territory as fast a it could. I mean this is just foolish.

I wish to say that the Chinese should know that their country is actually part of the Philippines but because we are peace loving people, we just allowed them to occupy the entire land for free for many years. While we do not intend to drive them away, the communists should not tell us the other way around. Of course, I am kidding.

About a month before the last elections, Sen. Koko Pimentel, revealed that if Duterte wins, VP Jejomar Binay will be the first big fish who would go to jail. For a fact, Binay has a pending plunder case filed before the Ombudsman but people thought of his immunity and, therefore, could escape liability thereof. Now that he is going to be stripped of that immunity, he must go to jail. If that is the legal basis, then I wish to see Binay joins his friend like Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Enrile, and Revilla. Erring government officials have no place in society. They should be within the four corners of steel bars in Muntinglupa penitentiary.

I wish the new president will support his words with actions He has spoken too much about many things but I still have to see if he really could do it. Pres. Duterte has designated already several close friends to handle various departments and many of them are from Davao City. I wish he should also appoint people from the Visayas and Luzon to show to the taxpayers that there is equality and fairness in his government and that he is making well in his decision on the matter. There are many deserving people in these regions that deserve to help him on various maters.

First it was Pres. Erap Estrada who went to jail for plunder Then we have Pres. Gloria Arroyo in custody for plunder. Will Pres, Aquino follow them in jail for plunder also or whatever? Of course, it is a great dishonor for our country to have leaders who are plunderers but it is nice that they are punished for the crimes committed.

I have yet to hear the plans of the incoming president Digong Dduterte on the matter of the widespread illegal gambling in the country. Number games are everywhere from Luzon to Mindanao and it has ;pushed back the lifestyle of people plus driving many of them further to poverty and hunger. This is a very old problem where people are driven to laziness and some becoming thieves.

President-elect Duterte , during the campaign period, was quoted as saying that he does not need the United State of America and it can severe ties anytime. He was driven perhaps by some misinformation or whatever.. For one thing the Philippines looks up to America almost on anything. I do not have to make emphasis but everybody knows about it.. And this situation has been going on since time immemorial. Duterte should watch his words particularly on foreign relationship not only with America but also with other allies. Without America, China could have eaten us alive long time ago. Or can we win a war with other nations?

I urge our government to be extra watchful on the activities of terrorists. They are becoming bolder and crazier and determined to destroy life and everything. I don’t know for what reason they are on this adventure. it just look plain foolishness, a thing for children only. BEN EMATA
